Vineyard & Winemaking
Eyeris 2018 is sourced exclusively from Oculus Vineyard in the heart of Oakville, Napa Valley, a site associated with Cabernet Sauvignon of concentration, structure, and longevity.
The 2018 growing season was marked by a long, moderate ripening period that allowed the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to mature slowly and evenly. This helped develop deep fruit character while preserving freshness and building polished tannin structure.
The fruit was harvested by hand on October 14, 2018 and aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. Extended maturation gives the wine additional depth and refinement while complementing its concentrated black-fruit character, graphite, cocoa, cedar, and spice notes.
The result is a structured Oakville Cabernet designed to be enjoyed now or carefully cellared for further development.
Winemaking & Vineyard
Sourced entirely from Perennial Vineyard, this single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the balance and consistency that define this distinctive Napa Valley site. Careful farming practices allow the fruit to reach optimal ripeness while preserving freshness and varietal character, creating a wine that expresses both richness and precision.
Following harvest, the wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, adding subtle layers of cedar, vanilla, and structure without overshadowing the vineyard's natural fruit expression. The result is a beautifully balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with silky tannins, refined complexity, and a long, elegant finish.

Frequently Asked Question

Perfect With…
Eyeris 2018's concentrated fruit, structured tannins, and long finish make it an excellent match for richly flavored dishes. Prime ribeye and dry-aged New York strip bring out the Cabernet's depth and structure, while herb-crusted lamb complements its dark fruit and savory complexity. For a more earthy pairing, wild mushroom risotto works beautifully with the wine's graphite, cocoa, and savory character. Braised short ribs are another natural match for its richness and polished tannins, while aged Gouda or Manchego provide a simpler pairing that highlights the wine's long, structured finish.
